Lisa Lu is a celebrated pastry chef and Bay Area native. After contemplating a career in interior architecture, she was drawn to the kitchen while pursuing her chocolate-making hobby. Lisa's passion transformed into a career when she became pastry cook at Aqua in San Francisco. She quickly advanced to become Pastry Sous Chef and proceeded to pursue other positions in some San Francisco's finest kitchens including Quince, Michael Mina, Jardinière, Central Kitchen. Lisa is currently Pastry Chef at Boulevard Restaurant in San Francisco.
Michael Bauer considers her “a masterful pastry chef who has the rare ability to bring everything together in an integrated dessert.” Lu was named James Beard Award semifinalist for Outstanding Pastry Chef in 2012. She holds a BFA in interior architecture from USF and Academy of Art.
